Our team of flower packers are headed by Gabriella, who has been with us for four years and is very experienced in the flower industry. Everyone pulls together to make the packing house run smoothly. From making the flower delivery boxes to storing the delivered cut flowers into the cold stores and picking the freshest flowers to make the bouquets. Our team of workers make sure that every step of the way runs smoothly. The flowers you receive are treated with love, respect and care as perishable produce should be.

Our flower packers are an integral part of our business, taking the utmost care and consideration of the produce whilst they are preparing them. They are all trained to the highest standards and ensure that the flowers you and your loved ones receive arrive in the best condition. The flowers are sent by either next day courier service or by First Class Royal mail. They are sent in postal boxes with extra protection, secured in their boxes and with a personalised message. The care of our flowers starts much further away than you would imagine. Our roses which are mainly sourced from Kenya are ethically sourced and are part of the Fair Flowers Fair Plants Association. They are cut in bud to ensure that they will give you as much life in your vase as possible. They are carefully put into boxes and shipped over to England. When they arrive at our depot, they are immediately put into cold stores in large containers of pre-treated water, to ensure maximum longevity.

We have been dealing with Kenya in flowers for over 20 years and have established some great trading relationships over the years, particularly in the Naivasha and Nairobi areas of Kenya. Our level of care and commitment in Kenya goes along way further than just sourcing top quality flowers. We take a great interest in the lives of the local people and support them via the "Hope Family Homes" charity. It was set up to help underprivileged children in Kenya by its’ founder Heather Purser, when she visited in 1996. She was deeply moved seeing deprived children trying to survive. ’Bethlehem', based in Limuru, 30 kilometers North of Nairobi was the first home that they set up. Together with her husband Alan they care for the medical, educational and emotional needs of the children in their care. Our bouquet of 18 roses has been created especially with Hope Family Homes in mind, as with every purchase made, we will be donating 50p towards the charity. This equates to a 1kg bag of maize meal.

For our bouquets, the flowers come from far and wide, spanning carefully selected growers from places such as Colombia, Ecuador, Holland and Thailand. During the local production season we also buy flowers from growers local to us. Although roses are one of our most popular products, we also have a long running relationship with several orchid growers in Thailand.
