We all love to be up with the latest trends, especially if we have a special occasion looming, like a wedding, anniversary or special birthday. This year is looking to be fairly similar to last year with a few little tweaks. English blooms will be large again this Spring/Summer, with additions of herbs and loads of foliage. Large headed blooms, like hydrangeas are back again, in an assortment of colours. Our Blue Moon bouquet with it's lovely Blue hydrangeas, lilac roses and creamy Waxflower is a perfect example of the type of bouquet which is still really on trend this year! This type of bouquet is for the style savvy person who loves the country cottage feel of these flowers.
This year's bride is looking for a wild, free formed, flowing bouquet, not the tight knit bouquet of last year. They are looking for a freshly gathered from the garden look, with loads of foliage. It is said that the table decorations which were previously displayed in Jam jars are now to be replaced by mis-matching antique glass and china vases with several to a table.
Rather than just a simple pastel pink palette, the bouquets will be incorporating more soft peachy hues, which adds additional complexity and depth—especially when paired with soft sunset orange, coral, warm sherbet hues and even rust colours. Our Just Peachy and Saffron bouquets are prime examples of this colour range.
DIY Wedding flowers are such a good idea. Just arrange to have our beautiful bouquets sent to you by Courier to ensure their safe arrival. Store them in a cool place, before you begin to transform into table decorations, posies for Bridesmaids, buttonholes for the wedding party and a fabulous bouquet for the bride. Give yourself enough time to cut the flowers and let them drink before you start to assemble them. Our Flame flower pot would co-ordinate perfectly with our Just Peachy and Saffron bouquets, if you wanted a quick table decoration and are displayed in a fabulous antiqued zinc pot!
